Own the complete electrical engineering package for a large multi-station automation program, from design and documentation through FAT, commissioning, and SAT sign-off.
Electrotech International Inc. is hiring a full-time Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical design and documentation for a major industrial automation program spanning two production lines and more than sixty-six stations. You'll produce the complete drawing package, define the control and safety architecture, interface Fanuc robotics and process equipment, and stand behind your design on-site through Factory and Site Acceptance Testing.
This is a hands-on role for an engineer who wants to see their work built, tested, and running, not just drafted. You'll work directly with our technical team and carry your package from concept to commissioning.
Full ownership of the electrical design package and its documentation, from the first schematic through as-built sign-off at SAT.
Complete electrical engineering drawing package for all automation stations (66+ stations across 2 lines): wiring diagrams, panel layouts, schematics, interconnection drawings, field device location drawings, and pneumatic drawings (if required).
Complete signal listing with signal names, types, I/O card addresses, and device tags for all stations.
Nameplate data (FLA, HP, Voltage) for all motors, due at PO acceptance (not at shipment).
All specified electrical components with original supplier part numbers.
Safety circuit design documentation, LOTO placard layout drawings, and isolation point identification drawings.
ProfiSafe wiring and electrical interface drawings for all Fanuc robots and all process equipment.
Failure Mode and Effects Analysis for all critical electrical subsystems, per PEM requirement, included in the documentation package.
On-site technical resources (the original designer[s]) at the customer site during commissioning; resolve drawing discrepancies and issue real-time redline corrections.
Design personnel available during the 6-week FAT for electrical design-related issue resolution.
Fully updated drawing package incorporating all commissioning and FAT/SAT field changes (delivered at SAT completion, included in base scope).
We're looking for an electrical engineer who can carry a complex automation package end to end and stand behind it in the field. Strong candidates bring most of the following:
